Delete Your PetsGo Account

The fastest way to delete your PetsGo account is inside the PetsGo app:

• Open PetsGo and sign in.
• Go to Profile.
• Open Edit Profile.
• Scroll to Account closure.
• Choose Delete account.
• Confirm Schedule account deletion.

When you schedule account deletion, PetsGo starts a 30-day grace period. During this period, your account is hidden, your visible posts are hidden, and you are signed out.

You can cancel deletion during the grace period by logging back in and choosing to reactivate your account.

After 30 days, PetsGo permanently deletes or anonymises your account and app data where technically possible.

Account deletion is designed to remove or anonymise:

• Your Firebase Authentication account.
• Your user profile, email, phone number, profile photo, city, nationality, and account settings.
• Your pet profiles, pet photos, health records, attachments, schedules, reminders, and registration details.
• Your push tokens and notification records.
• Your public profile.
• Your owned Storage files, including pet, health, post, and profile images under your account paths.
• Your community posts and comments by removing personal identifiers and replacing the author with a deleted-user label where thread integrity needs to remain.
• Private Lost & Found contact details stored for your posts.

Some data may be retained when required or reasonably needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, moderation, financial, backup, or operational reasons. Examples may include non-identifying system logs, moderation records, deletion records, support records, rate-limit records, and aggregated analytics.

If you only want to take a break, choose Deactivate account in the same Account closure screen. Deactivation hides your profile and posts, signs you out, and can be reversed by logging back in. It does not permanently delete your data.
