DOG RIDE 2026For Maya, and for the dogs still waiting.

On Saturday 31 October, Dubai’s motorcycle community rides out at 7am and heads east to Animals & Us in Fujairah. The bikes will all be different. The reason is the same.

DOG RIDE supports Animals & Us and, according to the organisers, the hundreds of dogs in its care. This is the first DOG RIDE, and like most good things, it started with one dog.

01 · Where it beganIn memory of Maya

Maya was the much-loved dog of Khan FM, founder of the Dubai motorcycle group Piston Kings. She passed away earlier this year after a battle with cancer.

Her loss could have been the end of the story. Instead it became the start of one: a way to turn grief into purpose, and to help the animals still waiting for care, support and a home.

So the first DOG RIDE carries her name with it. Every rider who sets off on 31 October is riding, in part, for Maya.

02 · Why FujairahMojo, Misty and the meaning of adoption

Look at the ride’s press photograph and you will find Mojo, sitting on the motorcycle seat as if it belongs to him. Mojo is adopted.

So is Misty, the white dog in these family photographs. She was adopted from Animals & Us in Fujairah, the very place this ride is heading.

That is why the destination matters. The riders are going to the place where one of their own dogs found a home, for the dogs there who are still waiting for theirs.

“

It’s not about what bike you ride, it’s about the dog whose life you change.

03 · The ridersPiston Kings and Dubai’s riding community

Piston Kings is a motorcycle group in Dubai, founded by Khan FM. With DOG RIDE, the group is bringing Dubai’s wider motorcycle community together around one shared purpose: honouring Maya and supporting the dogs at Animals & Us.

Each holder carries a QR code that leads to the DOG RIDE page, with the ride’s story, the organiser’s details and the latest updates. Small, practical, and a reminder of the day long after the ride is over.

Built by pet owners in the UAE, PetsGo helps dog and cat owners keep health records together, organise care reminders and daily routines, discover local vets and pet-friendly places, and connect with other owners nearby. Meet the people behind it on our About page.
